What is the flag for pan? The pansexual pride flag is a pink, yellow and blue flag, designed as a symbol for the pansexual community to increase its visibility and recognition, and distinguish itself from bisexuality. The different colors are often associated with “diversity” in the gay community (but actually have literal meanings). Where did the rainbow flag come from? The rainbow flag was popularized as a symbol of the gay community by San Francisco artist Gilbert Baker in 1978. What is the gay color? Page described the meaning of the colors as, “The pink color represents sexual attraction to the same sex only (gay and lesbian), the blue represents sexual attraction to the opposite sex only (straight) and the resultant overlap color purple represents sexual attraction to both sexes (bi).”
